On September 10th 2024, Arxia Digital Technologies hosted a breakfast meeting at the Nakawa ICT Hub in Kampala, Uganda. The event aimed to foster collaboration with members of Uganda’s NGO Forum and provided an excellent opportunity for networking.
During the meeting, Arxia shared its extensive experience in digital transformation and explored potential partnerships and client relationships within the NGO community.
Grace Labong, Arxia’s International Business Development Manager for East and Central Africa, organized and introduced Global CEO Daniel Homorodean, who then led the discussions. Homorodean emphasized Arxia’s mission to implement meaningful digital systems that empower organizations to optimize their processes and enhance their impact.
Daniel highlighted Arxia’s successful projects with organizations like the World Bank and discussed the introduction of e-procurement systems to universities, public institutions, and NGOs, as well as their digitization efforts in the public sectors of Uganda and Romania. Homorodean underscored that digital transformation should be approached strategically and with purpose.
Integrating Change Management in Digitalization
Homorodean stressed the importance of incorporating rigorous change management as a critical factor for realizing the full benefits of digitalization. He emphasized the need to involve all stakeholders in the process to ensure the adoption of systems that support both organizational growth and individual development.
To facilitate this, Arxia announced the addition of an engagement manager for all new customers. This role is essential for onboarding the client’s team. Our experience shows that users are often hesitant to seek help, fearing it may expose their perceived inadequacies. The engagement manager provides users with privacy and confidence, allowing their concerns to be addressed personally.
Arxia provides two formats for engagement support. For small and medium-sized organizations, clients can rely on our expert team. However, for larger organizations, we recommend appointing an internal engagement focal point who can offer real-time support to users.
The breakfast event concluded with positive discussions about partnership opportunities, establishing a collaborative foundation for enhancing digital transformation within Uganda’s NGO sector.
